About Natasha
Felt has been my 'thing' ever since I made felt clothes for peg dolls with my nan as a child. It took me until my 30s on a textile foundation course to learn how to make felt itself, wet-felted from wool fleece, after which I was completely hooked! I've been felting and creating textile art, jewellery and accessories since 2006, and running felting workshops since 2009. I love working with felt, wet-felting fleece by hand and incorporating other fibres and yarns to create totally unique designs, often inspired by the sea and patterns found in shells and fossils.
As well as creating work to sell, I have developed one-off designs for magazine project articles, demonstrated feltmaking at events, exhibited felt art during events like open studios and taught feltmaking workshops. I moved from Surrey to Exmouth in East Devon in 2015 and am enjoying even greater inspiration from coastal living. In 2019 I finally got my own studio and have started running regular workshops there (more details about workshops here).
